Rigging (API-RP-2D) 6th edition (API Certified) (Hands On)

The purpose of this course is to educate students about the different types and safe practices of rigging within sound engineering designs and according to API-RP-2D 6th Edition Regulations. The course will cover:

• Rigger Responsibilities
• Basic knowledge of wire rope
• Standard slings and component parts
• Use of wedge sockets, hooks, shackles, eyes bolts, rope clips, turnbuckles.
• Basic sling hitches
• Deterioration, inspection and care
• Sling angles and their effect
• General Rigging procedures and precautions
• Recognized API-RP-2D crane signals
• Basic Knot Tying

Length: 8 hrs.
