Hazardous Waste Operations Emergency Response Operations Level Refresher

As promulgated by OSHA 1910.120, first responders at the operations level, who are like to witness a hazardous release, with a permissible exposure limit environment. This class covers the basic containment and control procedures required and focuses on waste determination and proper control techniques. The training consists of:

• An understanding of what hazardous substances are and the risks associated with them in an incident.
• Be able to recognize the presence of hazardous substances in an emergency.
• Identification of the hazardous substances, if possible.
• Understand first responder awareness level role in the Emergency Response Plan.
• Understand how to use DOT Emergency Response Guidebook.
• Labeling and Shipping Papers
• MSDS
• Spill Assessment & Site Control
• Decontamination
• Basic Fire Protection

Length: 6 hrs.
