This course is designed to teach the participant not only the principles of fire and fire prevention but adds the duties and responsibilities of a fire watch. In addition to the classroom portion, participants are required to actually extinguish a fire using a portable fire extinguisher. Topics covered include:

• Principles of fire and fire prevention
• Classes of fire
• Fire extinguishers and their use
• Fire watch duties and responsibilities
• Hot work permits

Length: 4 hrs.
