29 CFR 1926 Subpart M

This course is designed for workers who will be exposed to fall hazards in the work place and covers the following topics in depth:

• Purpose of fall protection
• When it is required
• What is required and why
• Physics behind a fall
• Calculating fall distances
• Potential fall hazards
• Types of fall protection systems
• How to use personal fall arrest and restraining systems
• Proper inspection of equipment
• Fall hazard analysis
• Fall rescue plan
• Rescue procedures

In addition to the lecture, students are also required to conduct and document an inspection of fall arresting equipment as well as properly don and doff the equipment.
