T-2 Basic Production Safety Systems

1 Day Class

The 3 day class is a 8-hour program required by the MMS and 30 CFR 250 (subpart A, C, D, E, F, H, J, K, and O). This course will qualify the student to install, operate inspect, test and maintain anti-pollution & safety devices and systems used on offshore platforms.

Students will work with and understand the operation for safety devices from the following:

• Pressure Sensors
• Shut Down Valves
• Surface Safety Valves
• Sub-surface Safety Valves
• Gas Detection Devices
• Pressure Relief Devices
• Level Sensors
• Fire Detection Devices
• Temperature Sensors
• Flow Sensors
• Relays
• Hands on - Rebuilding & Testing & Calibration
• Written Exam

1 Day Class

This is a 1 day (8 hour) program.

Pre-Requisite: The student should have already successfully completed at least three (3) previous T2 courses and has worked in the Oil & Gas Production Operations at least six (6) years.

• Review Changes in Regulations API-14C
• Symbols & Identification
• Undesirable Events
• Production Safety Systems
• Hands-on (Assemble & Calibrate)
• Written Exam (Minimum passing grade is 85)

Length: 8 hrs.
